Founded in 2011 by Jason Baker and Kayla Johnson, SWEAT Outdoors was designed to cater to a growing population of people desiring to get out of the gym and workout outdoors.

Our workouts take place at many of our local parks, beaches and trails. By getting outdoors and leaving the filthy, smelly, recycled air and people-watching gym scene behind, you will develop a fitter, functional body and a healthier mind.

Since SWEAT Outdoors’ inception date, we have not only created an amazing workout program, but we have created a dynamic community of local businesses and individuals that share the same goal. Get out of the gym and SWEAT Outdoors!

What Is SWEAT Outdoors?

How Safe Is SWEAT Outdoors?

Long answer: Our focus is to provide a safe alternative to group workout programs while keeping the intensity high. We have expert trainers and volunteers (usually physical therapy assistants) monitoring your form while you’re working out. This means less chance of injury and making sure you’re engaging the proper muscles through each movement. We have received the “Stamp of Approval” by many Physical Therapists as a safer workout due to our diligence on proper form and technique.

Which Skill Levels Do You Cater To?

SWEAT is for ALL levels! Based on your comfort level, during each workout, we branch SWEATers into different groups: beginner, moderate, and intense. It’s up to you to decide how hard you want to be pushed (don’t worry; we’re still going to keep an eye on you). Our workouts are geared towards progression and we encourage each participant to work a little harder each time.

What Kind of Workouts Will We Be Doing?

Our trainers provide you with an invigorating, full body workout with very little equipment and a plethora of creativity. We alternate our workouts between cardio drills, resistance moves, plyometrics, core and balance work.

How Long Are The Workouts?

Each workout is one hour in length and generally follows this structure:

 

  • Dynamic Stretching
  • Warm-Up
  • Workout
  • Cool Down with Stretching
